2007 ovp CELEBRATION AT Snowbasin A BIG SUCCESS!
Over 200 people joined us to celebrate Ogden Valley pathways and trails at Snowbasin on September 15. We made some money, made some friends and, importantly, launched OVP as a community building organization.
- Thanks to our committee chair, Roody Rassmussen who made it happen and to county commissioner Craig Dearden who attended, enjoyed himself (even bought something at the auction) and recognized our efforts as a valuable contribution.
- Thanks to our devoted committee members: Peggy Turner, Greg Booth, Shawn Tucker, Brandi Hammon, Ray Corbin, Paul DeLong and Taylor Satterthwaite.
- Thanks to our many on-mountain and plaza volunteers who handled registration, sold raffle tickets, made the auction a success, guide biking, hiking, bird watching and trail riding (horse) activities.
- Thanks to the very helpful Snowbasin staff, especially Tim Franke, Cyd Heatherly and Denzel Rowland.
- And thanks to our web master, Bryan Smith who gave us a web presence in hopelessly little time (see www.OgdenValleyMagazine for photos and video of the event).
So a big thanks and congratulations to everyone.

We are an organization of volunteers who believe that an extensive
network of good trails and pathways will make Ogden Valley an even
better place to live and visit. Our volunteers mostly do what they are
passionate about. One group worked with students and teachers at
Snowcrest to produce sketches and information about the flora and fauna
along the North Arm Trail. Others worked to implement the new
subdivision ordinances, others on educating the public about our
purpose, and many contributed hundreds of hours working to maintain the
trails we already have.
